The room
Each Beach Villa sits behind its own screen of sea grape, screw pine and coconut palms, so that from the pool deck all you can see is your own stretch of sand and the turquoise lagoon beyond.
The villa is built of timber and coral stone under a high thatched roof, with walls of sliding glass that fold back so the bedroom, the sitting room and the deck become one long room open to the breeze. The bed faces the sea, and like every villa on the island it has a roof that slides back for stargazing.
Behind the bedroom, the bathroom opens into a walled tropical garden with an outdoor bath, a rain shower under a frangipani tree and a dressing area. In front, an 8-metre pool, a sala with a daybed and a pair of loungers on the sand.
Sleeps two adults and one child. Bicycles are left at the door for getting about the island.
