The room
Reached along the boardwalk and set well apart from its neighbours, the Lagoon Water Villa stands over water so clear and shallow that rays and baby reef sharks pass beneath the deck at breakfast.
Inside, the floor is pale, sun-bleached timber and the ceiling rises to a woven palm-thatch peak. Press one switch by the bed and a section of the roof slides back, so the sky is the last thing you see at night and the first thing in the morning. The bathroom is half indoors and half open to the air, with a deep stone bath facing the lagoon, a rain shower and twin basins.
Outside, a 9-metre private pool runs along the sun deck, with a shaded daybed, a pair of loungers and an overwater hammock net strung above the lagoon. Ladder steps lead from the deck into the water, and the house reef is a ten-minute swim away.
Sleeps two adults and one child under 12. Breakfast is served on your deck or at Tide Table, whichever you prefer.
